Web Developer Intern
This is an internship which is eligible for course credit. It can lead to a position if you are the right fit. There is a small monthly stipend that covers an MTA card.
Responsibilities:
- Hand code XHTML/CSS templates from pictures
- Importing an existing database source to a web based system
- Database architecture and implementation
- Help to develop web base UI and application
- Help to creating themes and modules for open source CMS
- Track issues and report to developers/designers and re-test
Qualifications:
- College student in Computer Science major
- Proficient in Chinese and English is REQUIRED
- Knowledge of one of modem programming languages is REQUIRED ( WE TEST )
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus
- Knowledge of PHP language and Relational database is a plus
- Knowledge of Object Orientated Programming is a plus
- Knowledge of Linux OS and Apache web server is a plus
- Knowledge of JavaScript Framework, such as JQuery, Prototype, is a big plus
- Experience of database driven web site is a plus
- Experience of OS CMS, such as WordPress, Joomla! or Drupal, is a big plus
- Passion in coding and debugging
